'Forever Husky' Sponsors Free MCDH Vaccination Clinics
In March, the vaccination fee will be waived for the first 100 income-qualified appointments

From MCDH, Forever Husky: McHenry County Animal Control has partnered with Forever Husky for two vaccination/registration clinics providing vaccination waivers to the first 100 dogs of income qualified residents (including seniors and veterans) with appointments at the 2 clinics offered in March. The Clinics will take place between 1 – 4 p.m. on Friday, March 10 and Thursday, March 16. Appointments are necessary and can be scheduled by calling 815-459-6222. Dog registration (tag) fees are required in McHenry County and must be purchased at the time of vaccination. Information about registration fees can be found at www.mcdh.info or on the Friends of McHenry County Animal Control Facebook page. Information about bite history and if your dog is easily stressed will be asked when scheduling an appointment. For everyone’s safety, it is strongly suggested that children not attend this busy event.
Personal identification and current income qualification documents, such as LINK, SNAP, or Medicaid card, SS Disability benefits letter or referral letter from Senior Services or Veteran Services will be required at your appointment.
Waiving the vaccination costs (Distemper, Bordetella, and Three-Year Rabies) is made possible by vaccinations generously provided by Forever Husky. Forever Husky is a charitable organization based in Crystal Lake whose mission is “to help those that have no support, husky and human alike.” When asked about sponsorship of the clinics, Founder & President of Forever Husky, Lance Laureys said, “We’re more than just a Husky rescue - we’re members of the McHenry County community. This event is one way we can support other residents in our community—both dogs and humans.”
