Lake In The Hills Bans Masks At Rockin' Ribfest

Village officials say people should be fine to wear masks for health-related reasons but want to keep other types of masks out.

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — Village officials in Lake in the Hills have voted to ban masks at this year's Rockin' Rib Fest.

The move, which was proposed by the police department, is meant to keep masks, such as skeleton masks that cover large portions of a persons' face, out of the fest, village board president Ray Bogdanowski told Shaw Local Media. It is not specifically meant to target health-related masks, and Boganowski said anyone who needs to wear one for medical reasons will be "fine."

Rockin' Rib Fest is scheduled for July 11 to 14 at Sunset Park in Lake in the Hills.
