JOE JOE DASHAWN HYMON SENTENCED TO SEVEN YEARS IN THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS FOR THE OFFENSE OF UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announced that Joe Joe Dashawn Hymon, 28, of Woodstock, Illinois, was sentenced on July 6, 2021 to seven years in the Illinois Department of Corrections by the Honorable Judge Coppedge after pleading guilty to the offense of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Hymon was sentenced for possessing more than 15 grams of cocaine in Woodstock on June 6, 2019.
This case was investigated by members of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Department and was prosecuted by Brette Dunbar of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.
