New Carnival At Lake In The Hills Rockin' Rotary Ribfest 2019

Live music lineup, food vendors, beer tents, carnival wristband specials and more kicking off soon at Sunset Park.

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — The Lake in the Hills Rockin' Rotary Ribfest kicks off Thursday, July 11 at Sunset Park (5200 Miller Road), and runs through Sunday, July 14, according to the Village of Lake in the Hills website. The annual event is put on by the Lake in the Hills Rotary Club and raises funds for several LITH Rotary Charities and projects, according to the event website. Ribfest hours are 4:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, and 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

Admission to Ribfest is $5 for adults, free for children 12 and under when accompanied by an adult, and free for all active military with military ID verifying active status.

In addition to the great food (including rib and non-rib vendors), beer tents, and a rockin' music lineup, there will be a new carnival this year at the festival, according to the Village.

The carnival features a wristband special of $25 per person for rides on Thursday and Friday from 4 p.m. to close, Saturday and Sunday 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is also a "Last Blast" wristband special of $18 per person for rides on Sunday from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

Parking is free for all Lake in the Hills Ribfest attendees, the event website said, adding that attendees should please follow the signs posted around the perimeter of Sunset Park to find the nearest parking lot.
