ALGONQUIN, IL — A new live entertainment venue is planned for downtown Algonquin.

The Village Board approved the request for an entertainment facility special-use permit for Soundbite Tavern, 113 S. Main Street, which would have an attached bar and restaurant and would include live acts such as bands, comedians, magician, DJs and afternoon performances geared toward kids, the Northwest Herald is reporting.
