Join Alsip Police and Fire for National Night Out, Tuesday, Aug. 5, featuring demos, giveaways, music and more at the Alsip police station.

ALSIP, IL — Join your Alsip first responders for National Night Out, Tuesday, Aug. 5. The free, take-a-bite-out-of-crime event will take place at the Alsip Police Department, 4500 W. 123rd St. The free, take-a-bite-out-of-crime event runs from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
Celebrate with family, friends, community members and partner organizations for a fun-filled night. Come out and meet your Alsip police officers and firefighters.
The evening features station tours, giveaways, demos, community service information, music, games and more – including a dunk tank.

“Join us for National Night Out—let’s have some fun, make new friends, and maybe even see if you can dunk one of us,” APD said on Facebook. “We can’t wait to connect with you.”
Since the first National Night Out in 1984, more than 38 million neighbors in 17,000 communities throughout the nation will hold some type of event promoting community building and public safety. It’s a night to build police-community partnerships and strengthen neighborhood spirit.
