Pulaski Road Resurfacing Set For August In Oak Lawn And Alsip: IDOT
IDOT will begin a street resurfacing project and ADA enhancements on Pulaski Road in Oak Lawn and Alsip starting Aug. 1, weather permitting.

ALSIP-OAK LAWN, IL – Starting Friday, Aug. 1, weather permitting, IDOT will start repairs on the stretch of Pulaski Road passing through Oak Lawn and Alsip, which lately has been like driving on the surface of the moon. Motorists should anticipate delays and lane closures, or, preferably, find alternative routes.
The $5.3 million project consists of resurfacing the 2.6-mile stretch of Pulaski Road from 103rd Street in Oak Lawn through 123rd Street in Alsip. The project also includes construction of new ADA-compliant ramps. Access to residents and businesses within the work zone will be maintained throughout construction.
The Illinois Department of Transportation anticipates work to be completed in November.
