AH Citizens Police Academy Offers Live Demos, Hands-On Learning
This spring's participants will learn about patrol operations, traffic law enforcement, criminal investigations, forensics and more.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL -- Those interested in gaining a sneak peek and hands-on experience in local law enforcement, are invited to join the Arlington Heights Police Department's spring Citizen Police Academy session.
Registration is free to the the 11-week program, which kicks off on March 6 and convenes every Tuesday evening at the department's temporary location, 1500 W. Shure Drive.
"The program provides hands-on experiences and practical insights into the police department's everyday operations and specialized services," officials said.

Sessions are comprised of classroom lessons, open discussions, multimedia presentations, live demonstrations and practical exercises spanning all facets of police work. Participants will learn about everything from patrol operations and traffic law enforcement to criminal investigations, forensic sciences and crime prevention techniques.
