Bringing Relief to Pets, Peace of Mind to Owners: EVS Pet Urgent Care
Dr. Jordana Eisenstein, a native Chicagoan, opened EVS Pet Urgent Care, offering a modern solution for pet parents in need of urgent care.

If your pet has ever been sick, injured, or just not feeling well—and your family veterinarian couldn’t see them soon enough—you’ve likely faced a frustrating decision: wait days for an appointment while your pet remains in discomfort, or head to a crowded, costly veterinary emergency room where you might spend hours waiting, and pay up to four times more than expected.
These limited choices are exactly what inspired Dr. Jordana Eisenstein, a native Chicagoan and lifelong animal advocate, to launch EVS Pet Urgent Care—a modern solution for pet parents who need timely, high-quality veterinary care without long waits or emergency-level costs.

First and foremost, it is 100% veterinarian-owned and operated, ensuring every decision is made with medical excellence and compassionate care at the forefront. By focusing exclusively on urgent care, not routine wellness visits or critical emergencies, EVS avoids the scheduling pressures of general practice and the triage delays of ERs. This means your pet receives focused attention without being rushed or sidelined.
Every visit is designed to be comprehensive and efficient. Diagnostics such as bloodwork, urinalysis, and radiographs are performed in-house with results available within an hour. After evaluation, a clear treatment plan is provided, and a full summary—including test results and recommendations—is sent to you and your primary veterinarian, ensuring continuity of care.
To make visits even more convenient, EVS created the proprietary EVS Check-In app, allowing you to reserve your spot in line from the comfort of your home. No more sitting in crowded waiting rooms while your pet grows anxious and you grow frustrated—just modern, stress-free veterinary care built around your time and your pet’s comfort.
For Dr. Eisenstein, this mission is personal. She followed her dream of becoming a veterinarian graduating from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Her vision for EVS goes beyond medical care; she’s leading a movement toward sustainable growth in veterinary medicine while prioritizing the client experience.
That passion runs in the family. Her sister, Dr. Alycia Eisenstein (RUSVM ‘00), was her inspiration, and her niece, Dr. Danielle Eisenstein (RUSVM ‘20), now leads the EVS Pet Urgent Care of Kissimmee. Fellow Ross University alumni also manage other EVS locations: Dr. Carolyn Waller (RUSVM ‘00) in Reno, NV, and Dr. Christopher Brown (RUSVM ‘05) in Niagara County, NY.
It's no coincidence that all the EVS managing veterinarians are alumni of RUSVM. Having experienced firsthand the high-quality education RUSVM provides, Dr. Eisenstein knew those were the kinds of veterinary professionals she wanted on her team.
At its heart, EVS Pet Urgent Care is not just a clinic—it’s a new standard for how veterinary care can be delivered: timely, transparent, compassionate, and built with both the pet and pet parent in mind.
