Car Crash Closes Roads In Schaumburg: Village

SCHAUMBURG, IL — A car crash during the Tuesday morning drive closed several roads in Schaumburg for a few hours. According to the Village, all southbound lanes of Martingale Road at Higgins Road were closed, as well as all northbound straight lanes of Martingale Road south of Higgins Road. The right turn lane Northbound Martingale Road at Higgins Road remained open.

Motorists were being asked to use an alternate route or use caution if driving in the area.

At around 9:30 a.m., the Village said in a social media post the roads had reopened, but motorists should proceed with caution as Public Works was street sweeping the roadway.
