Emerson College Student Earns Marlboro Interdisciplinary Studies Award

Emerson College student Maria Anzalotti, of Arlington Heights, earned a Marlboro Institute for Liberal Arts & Interdisciplinary Studies Award in spring 2025 at the end of the academic year, recognizing students for their achievements during a ceremony. Anzalotti, who is majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies and is a member of the Class of 2026, earned the Ellen McCulloch-Lovell Prize. About the award: The Ellen McCulloch-Lovell Prize was established in 2015 in honor of Ellen's eleven years as president of Marlboro College. The Prize recognizes accomplishment and potential in writing across genres - including fiction, poetry, non-fiction, and creative non-fiction - and encourages emerging writers to keep developing their craft.

McCabe Named Member Of Cornhusker Marching Band

Delaney McCabe, of Arlington Heights, is part of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's 300-member Cornhusker Marching Band, which will make its 2025 football season debut Sept. 6 at Memorial Stadium with pregame and halftime performances during Nebraska's home opener against Akron.
McCabe, a sophomore majoring in business and law, is a color guard member.

Sara Martino Completes Trine University degree

Sara Martino, of Arlington Heights, completed requirements for a degree from Trine University at the end of the Summer 2025 term. Martino earned a degree in Biology at Trine.
