ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Several local residents were recently arrested by Arlington Heights Police officers and charged with a variety of criminal charges. The department also handled several criminal complaints involving criminal behavior.

Local residents are reminded that the filing of criminal charges does not equate to a guilty finding and that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

  • Lindsay R. Brei was arrested on an in-state warrant on Dec. 19 for violation of bail bond.
  • Rebecca N. Codrean was arrested on Dec. 17 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and DUI with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more. She was cited and released and is due back in court on the charges on Jan. 25.
  • Teresa Kiraga Halon was arrested on Dec. 20 and charged with battery. She was cited and released and is scheduled to appear in court on the charges on Jan. 25.
  • Joel D. Kondic was arrested on Dec. 18 and charged with burglary to a building and criminal property damage. He was cited and released and is due back in court on Jan. 8.
  • Yoojin Lee was arrested on Dec. 16 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. He was cited and released and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 25.
  • Victor Olaguez was arrested on Dec. 19 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 higher. He was cited and released and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 25.
  • Monique L. Pruitt was arrested on Dec. 15 and charged with three counts of theft and merchandise obtained by deception with property valued at between $500 and $10,000.
  • Alexander J. Strobel was arrested on Dec. 17 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. He was cited and released and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 25.

  • A resident in the 1900 block of N. Eastwood Drive reported that sometime between 6 p.m. on Dec. 10 and 10 a.m. on Dec. 11 that an unknown person entered their home and stole tools valued at around $6,000.
  • A resident at 322 N. Salem Ave. reported that between October 19 and Dec. 12, an unknown person had stolen four Amazon packages from the property.
  • A resident that an unknown person had stolen their silver Infiniti at 949 E. Golf Rd. just after 4 a.m. on Dec. 17.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

  • A resident in the 600 block of S. Lincoln Lane reported that an unknown person had carved a swastika into the curb.
  • A resident reported that an unknown person had smashed the windshield of their vehicle at 2160 S. Goebbert Rd. sometime between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Dec. 17.
