Elk Grove Driver Killed In Head-On Collision: IL State Police
The 62-year-old man was one of two people killed in the accident Sunday night in Home Glen.

HOMER GLEN, IL — A 62-year-old Elk Grove Village man was one of two people killed in a head-on collision Sunday night in Homer Glen, according to Illinois State Police. Arunas Augustaitis died from injuries he suffered in the two-car accident, and authorities continue to investigate the crash.
The accident happened just before 9:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, along Archer Avenue, south of 135th Street, police said. Augustaitis was driving northeast on Archer when his 1999 Porsche Boxster crossed into the southbound lanes and collided head-on with a 1997 Toyota Tercel, according to authorities.
Jennifer Balice, 36, of Lemont, was behind the wheel of the Toyota, and she was pronounced dead at the scene. Augustaitis was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died, police said.
