The candy-filled holiday is on a Friday this year, which won't happen again until 2031.
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Halloween is just two weeks away, and the Village of Arlington Heights has some fun activities happening in the lead up to the holiday, including:
- Trunk-or-Treat — The Arlington Heights Park District is hosting a Trunk-or-Treat event from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at Pioneer Park, 500 S. Fernandez Ave. Registration is required.
- Downtown Arlington Heights Festivities & Trick-or-Treating: Visit downtown Arlington Heights for trick-or-treating at local businesses and family fun from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25. Stores offering trick-or-treating will have a flyer in the window. Visitors are encouraged to park in the free public parking garage on Vail Avenue, or the free underground garage off of Evergreen Avenue.
For the actual holiday on Friday, Oct. 31, the Village of Arlington Heights is recommending for those participating to limit trick-or-treating to 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
According to the Village's website, officials do not intend on moving trick-or-treating hours due to bad weather conditions.
