Man's Death From 'Blunt Head Trauma' Ruled Homicide: Coroner
The 67-year-old man was found dead Saturday at a home in Schaumburg.
SCHAUMBURG, IL — A 67-year-old Schaumburg man died Saturday as a result of blunt head trauma injuries sustained in an assault. According to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office, which ruled his death a homicide following an autopsy, the incident occurred in the 1100 block of Salem Drive.
Daily Herald is reporting a person is in custody in connection with the "fatal beating." The media outlet said Schaumburg police and fire department personnel were dispatched to the residence at around 10:45 a.m. for a report of "a man unresponsive and bleeding from the head." The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
