ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Bagel lovers can rejoice with a new restaurant coming to town. The owners of Once Upon A Bagel announced earlier this week they will be opening at 36 S. Evergreen Ave. next year, expanding its footprint on the North Shore to the northwest suburbs.

The original Once Upon A Bagel opened in Highland Park in 1987. Since then, the local chain has added Once Upon A Bagel locations in Lake Forest and Winnetka, as well as two businesses in Northbrook (Once Upon A Deli and Once Upon A Grill) and one in Highwood (The Mean Weiner).

Once Upon A Bagel features New York-style bagels, breakfast and sandwiches, as well as bakery items.
