ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — All traffic near the Arthur Avenue railroad crossing will need to find alternate routes starting Monday, Nov. 20, through Wednesday, Nov. 22. According to the Village of Arlington Heights, Union Pacific will be doing maintenance work on the track there.

Traffic will be detoured to Arlington Heights Road in order to cross the train tracks. The Village said that the underpass on Arthur Avenue "is not the designated detour route" because the height and width of the underpass does not allow for all vehicle access. In addition, traffic exiting the underpass onto Northwest Highway is right turn only.
