Semi Crash Involving Railroad Crossing Halts Northwest Highway Traffic
Arlington Heights Police are asking motorists to avoid the area of Northwest Highway and Wilke Road for much of Friday after the crash.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Local residents who may be out taking advantage of Black Friday deals or other holiday excursions may need to alter their travel plans slightly after a traffic accident early Friday has shut down traffic nearly an Arlington Heights Railroad crossing, police said.
Arlington Heights Police are asking motorists to avoid the area around Northwest Highway and Wilke Road, where clean-up efforts will be going on for much of the day, police said. The work is needed after a semi-truck and the railroad crossing took place early Friday morning.
No one was injured in the crash.

Police said that Wilke Road will be closed to traffic between Euclid and Northwest Hwy in both directions. Officials said that an update will be posted as soon as any additional information is available.
