Small Plane Down Near Schaumburg Airport: Village
The Wednesday morning incident occurred near Irving Park Road and Williams Drive, where there are currently road closures.

SCHAUMBURG, IL — A small plane is down Wednesday morning near Irving Park Road and Williams Drive, east of Schaumburg Regional Airport. Two occupants of the plane were evaluated at the scene by paramedics and released.
The first reports of the incident were shared on social media at around 11 a.m. The location is halfway between Wright Boulevard and Roselle Road.
The Village of Schaumburg said in a 11:27 a.m. social media post that Irving Park Road is currently shut down due to the plane crash. Emergency personnel are on the scene. Officials are asking motorists to take an alternative route to avoid "heavy" traffic. The Roselle Police Department said it is expected to be closed for two hours.
