Village Discounts Cholesterol Checks For National Heart Month

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL -- In recognition of National Heart Awareness Month, local cholesterol screenings will be discounted to $15 this month.

Health & Human Services, located on the first floor of the Arlington Heights Village Hall, will host two different screenings. The first is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 10, and the second, Wednesday, Feb. 14. Both will run from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Lipid profile screenings will also be discounted — from $20 to$15 — and participants are required to fast for 24 hours. Medicare cannot be billed for these services since the village is not an approved provider. Tests of blood sugar, blood pressure, and weight with BMI and body fat analysis are also included.
