Villages Receive Nearly $1M Design Engineering Funding For Bridge
Cook County recently approved funding for transportation-related projects throughout the county, including Schaumburg and Elk Grove Village.
SCHAUMBURG, IL — A number of local transportation projects, including one in Schaumburg and Elk Grove Village, received funding from the Cook County Board of Commissioners this week. The projects are overseen by the county's Department of Transportation and Highways.
According to officials, the "vital projects boost economic development, build up regional transportation and improve the quality of life throughout Cook County."
For Schaumburg and Elk Grove Village, a total of $994,868 will provide professional services for design engineering associated with the removal and replacement of the Meacham Road bridge over West Branch Salt Creek.
