1 Motorcyclist Dead After Tuesday Night Crash: Police

AURORA, IL — One person is dead after a motorcycle crash Tuesday night near Church Road and Butterfield Parkway, according to Aurora police.

Police said a motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital after the incident at around 8 p.m. where they were later pronounced dead. Their name has not yet been released pending an autopsy.

The driver of the striking vehicle remained on scene and did not report any injuries, according to authorities.

Roads in the area were reopened for traffic by around midnight Wednesday.
