27 National Night Out Events Planned In Aurora

Neighborhoods across Aurora will host family-friendly events featuring live music, food and giveaways.

AURORA, IL — Twenty-seven events are planned Aug. 5 in Aurora for National Night Out.

An annual nationwide event, National Night Out occurs on the first Tuesday in August to help enhance the relationship between residents, public safety officials and city leaders.

With the help of Aurora's Community Engagement Division, neighborhoods across Aurora will host family-friendly events featuring live music, food and giveaways.

"These celebrations encourage residents to come outside and spend the evening getting to know their neighbors, community partners, and local officials," city staff wrote in a news release.
