3 Charged After Man Shot During Armed Robbery In Aurora Township: Sheriff
Three men are facing armed robbery and mob action charges after robbing a man and shooting him in Aurora Township.

AURORA, IL — The Kane County Sheriff's Office has apprehended and charged three men in connection to an armed robbery, resulting in a man being shot in the leg, on June 2 in Aurora.
Three men approached a man driving in the 800 block of Konen Avenue around 6:30 p.m. and demanded money and a cell phone before shooting him in the leg, Patch reported.
The robbers then fled the scene, and deputies deployed K9s and a drone to attempt to locate them along with any evidence.

Since Monday, investigators "worked tirelessly ... to capture the suspects involved," with the final man apprehended Thursday afternoon, officials said in an update on Friday.

Pryor Ellis, 20, of the 1700 block of Molitor Road in Aurora, is accused of being the shooter, officials said. He was charged with the following:
- Armed robbery with firearm
- Armed robbery, discharged firearm causing great bodily harm or death
- Aggravated battery discharge firearm
- Armed violence, commits felony with Category I weapon
- Aggravated unlawful restraint
- Mob action violence
- Aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon/vehicle/loaded/no FOID
- Unlawful restraint
Miller Demier, 23, of the 800 block of North May Street in Aurora, was issued these charges:
- Armed robbery with firearm
- Armed robbery, discharged firearm causing great bodily harm or death
- Aggravated battery discharge firearm
- Armed violence, commits felony with Category I weapon
- Aggravated unlawful restraint
- Mob action violence
- Aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon/vehicle/loaded/no FOID
- Unlawful restraint
Whitaker Francis, 21, of the 800 block of Konen Avenue in Aurora, is facing the following charges:
- Armed robbery with firearm
- Armed robbery, discharged firearm causing great bodily harm or death
- Aggravated battery, discharge firearm
- Armed violence, commits felony with Category I weapon
- Aggravated unlawful possession of weapon in vehicle with previous conviction
- Aggravated unlawful restraint
- Mob action violence
- Aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon/vehicle/loaded/no FOID
- Unlawful restraint
