7 New Businesses Open At Fox Valley Mall

AURORA, IL — Seven new businesses are opening at Fox Valley Mall between May and June, executives said.

The Season One winner of "Cupcake Wars" and the "world's biggest bounce park" are among the new small businesses, as are a gaming store, a veteran- and woman-owned shop and three boutiques.

Executives at the Fox Valley Mall, on Aurora's far east side, announced the new tenants during Small Business Month, observed each May. Officials said the ventures are part of the shopping center's transformative redevelopmentto forge "new and deeper relationships within the community it serves, a winning strategy that has yielded significant results for the center, its guests, and local entrepreneurs over the past two years."

Molly's Cupcakes

  • A from-scratch bakery that won the inaugural season of TLC's "Cupcake Wars," the bakery is known for its center-filled cupcakes in flavors including peach cobbler, chocolate mousse and blueberry cheesecake, among others. The bakery offers 14 center-filled cupcakes on its menu at all times as well as two seasonal flavors.
  • 852 square feet in the food court, next to PT Snacks
  • Opening in June

DDC Wraps

  • An Afrocentric lifestyle boutique, DDC Wraps specializes in fashion, accessories, body care and wellness services. The store sells waist beads, head wraps, home decor, shea butter and other gift items.
  • 1,172 square feet on the upper level next to Arts on Fire
  • Opening in June

New Beautee

  • A "haven for those seeking a healthier and more sustainable way of living," New Beautee offers skin and hair care products, herbal teas, candles, fitness apparel and more.
  • 1,686 square feet on the upper level, near Arts on Fire
  • Now open

hotRAGS

  • A Chicago veteran- and woman-owned, hotRAGS sells incense, body jewelry, candles, junior-sized clothes, posters and other gifts.
  • 2,125 square feet on the upper level next to PacSun
  • Now open

Showroom

  • Showroom is a streetwear store selling a selection of popular brands, including Purple Brand, Amiri, Ksubi, Palm Angels, Denim Tears, Supreme and Hellstar.
  • 2,140 square feet on the upper level next to Furry Babies
  • Opening soon

UTime Gamers

  • A "haven for enthusiasts," UTime Gamers curates a gaming experience using the latest consoles. They offer immersive play for solo players, friendly competitions or group showdowns.
  • 1,843 square feet on the upper level next to Furry Babies

FunBox

  • The "world's biggest bounce house," FunBox is an inflatable park experience that features a 23-foot slide, the Mountain Challenge, a Ninja Wall, a Chill Zone and more.
  • 25,000 square feet in the Fox Yard, outside next to Round 1 Bowling.
