Aurora's 40th ribbon-cutting ceremony of the year featured 9 Bar, the latest restaurant to open on Orchard Road on the city's west side.

AURORA, IL — Aurora residents now have more eatery options on Orchard Road on the city's west side. Specializing in bubble tea and noodles, 9 Bar officially opened Monday.
9 Bar, under operating manager Johnny Ma, is a partnership between Ma and his two business partners, all three of whom own eateries at Pacifica Square on Aurora's far east side. Their latest venture brings together their three menus, plus Korean pastries and Japanese spirits, city officials said.
Owners, guests and city officials, including Aurora Mayor Richard Irvin, celebrated the restaurant with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday — Aurora's 40th this year. The West Aurora High School Marching Band participated to present a special performance during the event that was filled with "great energy, palpable enthusiasm and tasty eats from the Pan-Asian menu," officials said.
