The Naperville resident's victims range in age from pre-adolescent children to adult men, according to the DuPage County State's Attorney.

AURORA, IL — A grand jury indicted an Aurora chiropractor already accused of assaulting children of 13 more charges after three more victims, whose ages span from pre-adolescents to adults, came forward, according to DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin.

The investigation into the Naperville resident, whose chiropractic clinic was located in the 3800 block of McCoy Drive in Aurora, began in January when the DuPage County Children's Center received information from the Aurora Police Department regarding sexual assault at the clinic.
Aurora police alleged that a 17-year-old boy went to Hameed for treatment on Jan. 11 and was sexually abused, officials said. The boy then returned home and told his father, who contacted police. Through the investigation, detectives found that a 16-year-old boy experienced a similar incident in 2016, Patch reported.

After Hameed's arrest, three more people came forward to allege that the doctor inappropriately touched them between July 2016 and January 2025, according to Berlin.
On Tuesday, Judge Brian Telander granted the defense's petition for pre-trial release with home confinement and the condition that he not have any contact with minors other than his children. Hameed had been in jail since May 12, when he appeared for his first court date and was denied pre-trial release by Judge Demetrios Panoushis.

"The courage displayed by the victims in this case to come forward is inspiring," DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said in a statement. "I commend all the victims in this very upsetting case for their strength and conviction to come forward and stand for what is right. I know this is a very difficult subject to talk about, but I strongly encourage anyone who may have had a similar experience themselves with Dr. Hameed, or knows someone who may have, to contact either my office or the Aurora Police Department. Our investigators are expertly trained to help you through this very difficult time."
Aurora Police Chief Matt Thomas echoed Berlin's sentiments and said investigators prioritize providing a safe and supportive space for victims to share their stories.
"We recognize the incredible bravery it takes for victims to come forward and share their stories," he said. "Our investigators are working to create a safe and supportive environment for anyone impacted by these crimes — whether they were children or adults at the time of the abuse. We understand how difficult this is, and we encourage anyone who may have experienced similar abuse to reach out. We're here to listen and support you in every way we can."
Hameed is due in court again on July 8.
The DuPage County State's Attorney's Office encouraged anyone who believes they may have been a victim or has additional information about the incident to contact Aurora Police Investigator Jennifer Hillgoth at cosentij@aurora.il.us or 630-256-5554.
