The SHARP designation recognizes small business employers who operate an exemplary injury and illness prevention program. Worksites that receive the honor consider it an achievement of status, city officials said.

"Diamond Envelope Corporation has proven it's willing to go above and beyond when it comes to workplace safety," Illinois Department of Labor Director Jane Flanagan said in a statement. "The company joins a small but growing group of companies that [have] achieved the prestigious SHARP designation."
