Aurora Fire Burns Front Porch
The blaze occurred on Rourke Dive, on the city's southeast side

On Tuesday, just before 6:30 p.m., the Aurora Fire Department responded to a fire at a two-story house on the 2600 block of Rourke Drive. A resident had smelled smoke, and called 911 after seeing the fire and leaving the house.
A crew of 13 firefighters put out the blaze in 30 minutes. Damage was limited to the front porch, but the family will be staying in a hotel due to smoke damage.
Fire officials estimate the damage at $40,000. An exterior light fixture on the front porch caused the fire.
