Aurora Plans Holiday Pop-Up Food Pantry
The City of Aurora, Northern Illinois Food Bank and Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry are partnering up to fight hunger on Tuesday.
AURORA, IL — In an effort to fight hunger throughout the holidays, the City of Aurora is will host a pop-up food pantry on Tuesday.
The city, along with the Northern Illinois Food Bank and the Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry, on Tuesday will hold its seventh food pantry event at 9 a.m. in Phillips Park.
The pantry event will offer groceries including meat, daily and produce to more than 1,200 families, the city said. All food will be given out in a contactless drive-thru.

The city said attendees can walk up or drive through the park to obtain food. Neither identification nor any paperwork is required.
