Aurora Police Still Seeking Tips On Graduation Party Shooting
Police said an 18-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman were hospitalized after being shot when a fight started at the party in early June.
AURORA, IL — Police continue to search for clues or tips that lead to the apprehension of anyone involved in a graduation party altercation this month in which shots were fired and that left two people injured, police said on Wednesday.
The fight occurred at a graduation party on June 3 near South Broadway and Bluff Street, police said. Police were called to the party for the report of a fight in which two people had been shot in the backyard of a home in the 600 block of South Broadway, police said.
An 18-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man were taken to a local hospital and are reported in stable condition, police said on Wednesday. Detectives and evidence technicians from the Aurora Police Department's Bureau of Investigations responded to the scene and began investigating the specific circumstances of the incident, police said.

In addition, officers and detectives conducted a canvass of the area to collect potential information from witnesses to assist with the investigation. Now, police are asking for public assistance in helping to locate anyone who may have been involved in the shots being fired at the party.
