Central Bark Dog Care Opening Soon In Aurora

AURORA, IL — Central Bark, a dog care franchise, is opening its first location in Aurora this spring.

The state-of-the-art facility will be located at 4389 Fox Valley Center Drive. The business will serve as a destination for dog owners' daycare, boarding, grooming and training needs.

Central Bark will feature almost 9,000 square feet of indoor space and an outdoor play area spanning about 3,700 square feet.

The Aurora area location is owned and operated by Mike Carter, who will "focus on enhancing operational efficiency, growing the customer base, and ensuring the highest standards of care for all pets," Central Bark executives wrote in a news release.

"Mike's breadth of expertise in managing large teams and delivering innovative solutions positions him to foster growth and prosperity for the Central Bark franchise," reads the release, adding the owner was inspired by his two dogs to pursue a franchise in dog care.

"I've spent much of my career improving processes, building relationships, and leading teams to success. I'm excited to apply those skills to a business that combines my love for dogs with my professional experience," Carter said in a statement. "Central Bark's commitment to a Whole Dog Care philosophy aligns with my passion for quality service, and I'm thrilled to offer exceptional dog care to the Aurora community."

Located primarily across the Midwest and East Coast, Central Bark operates more than 40 locations across the country. There are currently three other locations in Illinois: Grayslake, Gurnee and Carol Stream.
