Chicago Financial Firm Opens New Office In Aurora
Mayor Richard Irvin personally invited the firm, which oversees $261.4 billion in assets as of last year, to come to Aurora, officials said.

AURORA, IL — A Chicago-based financial firm known as a "global powerhouse" expanded to open a new office in downtown Aurora.
Mesirow Financial was welcomed to the city Tuesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The new office is located two blocks west of Aurora City Hall on Downer Place.
An employee-owned financial services firm founded in 1937, Mesirow is headquartered in Chicago and has offices across the work. Its main services are global investment management, capital markets, investment banking and advisory services.

As of Sept. 30, 2023, the firm oversees $261.4 billion in assets.
"We take great pride in extending our footprint here into Aurora, Illinois's second-largest city, Jeff Levine, Mesirow's chief operating officer, said at the ceremony. "More importantly, this office to us is really emblematic of what our values are. We talk about investing in what matters, and what matters to us: our clients, our community. And to us, in many ways, this is just another step along our relationship with Aurora."

Aurora Mayor Richard Irvin personally invited the firm to come to Aurora, according to a news release.
"We are expanding the types of ribbon cuttings we have," Irvin said at the event. "We have so many varieties of companies that are in the city of Aurora, from manufacturing to IT to any type of retail and restaurant services. Now, we are expanding with financial services."
