Driver Extricated, Hospitalized After Rollover Crash In Aurora: Police
Multiple cars crashed Thursday morning, and one person was hospitalized as a result, Aurora police said.
AURORA, IL — A driver was extricated and hospitalized after three cars crashed Thursday morning at the intersection of North Lake Street and West Indian Trail, Aurora police told Patch.
Police and firefighters responded to the crash at about 9 a.m. Two vehicles collided in the intersection, and the force of the impact caused one to leave the road and strike a car parked in a nearby lot, spokesperson Jim Levicki said.
Firefighters extricated the driver of the car that came to a rest in the parking lot. The person was "alert," Levicki said, and taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The cause of the initial collision remains under investigation, according to Levicki.
The intersection and all lanes of traffic in the immediate vicinity were affected while emergency crews towed the cars and cleared the debris. All lanes reopened by 10 a.m., according to a Facebook alert from the Aurora Police Department.
