Learn From A Pro: Famed Soccer Player To Lead Trainings For Aurora Kids
The former professional soccer player will spend time in Aurora this week training kids in soccer and sharing his story in a community talk.

AURORA, IL — A former professional soccer player is bringing his expertise to Aurora this week, officials said.
Angel Reyna, an attacking midfielder, spent his decade-long career playing for teams including Club America, Club de Futbol, Club Deportivo Veracruz and Club Deportivo Veracruz.
While in Aurora, the Mexico City native will participate in a few community events during this time in Illinois's second-largest city.

A community talk is scheduled for Wednesday, followed by a three-day soccer training for local youth Thursday through Saturday.
During Wednesday's talk, happening from 7-8 p.m. at West Aurora High School, 1201 W. New York St., Reyna will share his life story and professional experiences. The event is free and open to the public, with no necessary registration.

Through the city's One Goal Aurora program, children ages 8 to 16 can learn to play soccer like a pro, thanks to pros. Reyna and his brother, Marco — who also played for Club America, will be teaching trainings from 4-8 p.m. June 22-23 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 24 at Garfield Park, 825 Sheffer Road.
Children will be assigned to a 50-minute training session at a specific time on one of the days depending on age and position, officials said.
Pre-registration is required for the training sessions.
