Indian Jewelry Brand Opens 1st Midwest Store In Aurora

The jewelry brand debuted in the United States last year with its New Jersey store. The Aurora location marks its expansion to the Midwest.

AURORA, IL — A popular Indian jewelry retail brand made its Midwest debut Thursday with a new store in Aurora.

Tanishq's new store, considered the company's Midwest flagship, is located in the Pacifica Square Shopping Center, 4300 E. New York St.

Tanishq owners, leaders from Titan, the brand's parent company, and the consul general of India joined city leaders, including Mayor Richard Irvin and Ward 10 Alderwoman Shweta Baid, for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1 p.m. Thursday.

City officials said Tanishq has served as India's preeminent jewelry retailer for decades, bringing in $3.5 billion in annual revenues. The company made its United States debut last year with a store in New Jersey.

"Creating jewelry that perfectly balances traditional beauty and contemporary charm, Tanishq brings women of the world jewels that they can treasure forever," Chief Engagement Officer Clayton Muhammad wrote in a news release.
