Luxury Dentistry Space Opens In Aurora: 'This Is Pure Class'

The Latina-owned dentistry is complete with massaging chairs and marble fixtures.

AURORA, IL — A luxury dentistry spa has officially opened in Aurora's southeast side, making it the first of its kind in the city.

Dr. Medelith Somer opened Pearly Smiles Dental at 1311 Butterfield Road. The full-scope general family dentistry is complete with massaging chairs and marble fixtures.

Pearly Smiles Dental also specializes in cosmetic dentistry with expertise ranging from clear aligners and porcelain veneers to dental impacts, crowns and bridges.

"At our dental office, we not only prioritize your dental needs but also strive to create lasting relationships," Somers said in a statement. "And as a Latina, I moved to Aurora so I can build relationships with and better serve the Latino community."

The City of Aurora celebrated the dental office's grand opening Sunday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Somers' family attended, including her brother who flew in from their native Peru.

"This is pure class and the first of its kind owned by a Latina here in Aurora," Mayor Richard Irvin said in a statement.
