New Grocery Store Opens In Aurora: 'Destination For Food Enthusiasts'
It's the store's 12th location in Illinois.

AURORA, IL — A new grocery store, described by Aurora officials as "a go-to destination for food enthusiasts," has opened its doors in Illinois's second-largest city.
The 12th location in Illinois, Wild Fork celebrated its grand opening at 936 S. Route 59 on Sunday.
The grocery store specializes in frozen meats — exotic cuts such as bison, elk, ostrich and alligator are among options — seafood and speciality items, including desserts, breads and vegetables.

"What sets Wild Fork apart is its commitment to freshness," Chief Community and Equity OfficerClayton Muhammad wrote in a news release. "Each product is blast frozen at its peak to lock in flavor and nutrients for up to 12 months."
Wild Fork's grand opening also marked the final ribbon-cutting ceremony during the now-former Mayor Richard Irvin's tenure. John Laesch, Aurora's 60th mayor, took office following Tuesday night's inauguration ceremony.

The event featured raffle prizes and freshly cooked samples to give guests "their first taste of Wild Fork's exceptional selection."
"Wild Fork's commitment to quality and variety brings something truly special to Aurora," Irvin said in a statement. "It's wonderful to see so many people here, sharing in the excitement of this new venture that enhances our local food landscape."
