City officials will celebrate the new business with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. Saturday. The first 50 customers present at the ribbon cutting will receive a free two-scoop cone, officials said.

From noon to 2 p.m. following the ceremony, families-friendly activities will be available, including henna, face painting and balloon animals, Bruster's executives said. A DJ will spin beats from 4-7 p.m., and a dance contest will ensue at 6 p.m.

Customers will also be able to enter sweepstakes to win free ice cream for a year. Deals will include $5 small waffle cones and $4 small dishes and cake or sugar cones.
