New Pizzeria On Farnsworth Avenue Replaces Former Mike & Denise's Pub
Lady T's Pizzeria and Pub celebrated its opening with a ribbon cutting on Sunday, the final day of Hispanic Heritage Month.

AURORA, IL — Aurora residents craving pizza now have a new local spot to try: Lady T's Pizzeria and Pub on Farnsworth Avenue.
Lady T's, whose name is a nod to owner Tanya Urbon's nickname, took over the former Mike & Denise's Pub space at 1780 N. Farnsworth Ave., about half a mile south of the Chicago Premium Outlet Mall.
Although it renovated and repaired the space, the new eatery kept some of the former restaurant's popular menu items but expanded it to include a variety of pizza, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, pasta and salads.

With hours of operation until midnight Sunday, 1 a.m. Monday through Thursday, and 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday, Lady T's will also serve as another nightlife option for Aurorans. The pub features slot machines, gambling consoles and pool tables.
City officials said in a news release they expect Lady T's to be a popular gathering space due to its more than a dozen televisions that broadcast NFL and college sports games.

"She has that NFL package, so all the folks that are going to be watching football this season, Lady T's is the place to be watching," Mayor Richard Irvin said.
Irvin and Ward 1 Alderman Emmanuel Llamas joined owner Tanya Urbon for a ceremony Oct. 15 when Urbon was joined by her three sons in cutting the ribbon and ringing a bell.
"I'm elated to be here with Lady T here [at the] opening of Lady T's here in the city of Aurora, one of the best pizza pubs around — best pizza, best hamburgers, best french fries," Irvin said.
The grand opening event also marked the final day of Hispanic Heritage Month, recognized annually from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15.
