Man Barricaded In House Kills Woman, Self After Police Enter Home
Aurora police are asking residents to avoid the 2100 block of Kensington Avenue due to police presence for a person barricaded in a home.

AURORA, IL — Police are investigating an earlier barricade situation as a murder-suicide after discovering two bodies within a residence on the 2100 block of Kensington Avenue, authorities said.
Authorities originally responded to reports of "suspicious activity" shortly after 12:30 p.m. Friday. Based on information from dispatch, a special response team was called in and nearby residents were instructed to stay in their homes.
A spokesman for the city told Patch the special response team was canceled at 1:48 p.m. Friday. Officials announced in a social media post the team found two people dead inside once they breached the door.

Officials told residents there is no threat to the community at the time and are currently treating the investigation as a murder-suicide.
