Reported Shooting Posed 'No Threat To The Public': Aurora Police

A shooting was reported this weekend near downtown Aurora, police reported.

AURORA, IL — A shooting was reported Sunday evening in the 100 block of South Lincoln Avenue, Aurora police said.

Officers were on the scene of the incident near downtown Aurora as of a 7:30 p.m. Facebook post. Officials said there was "no threat to the public" but asked the community to avoid the area and seek alternate routes as a large group of law enforcement agents were gathered.
