BATAVIA, IL — The Pine Street entrance into Fermilab will temporarily close to all vehicles, bikes and walking traffic beginning June 2.

Both inbound and outbound lanes off Kirk Road will not be accessible to make way for the construction of the new Welcome and Access Center, which is scheduled to open later this year, Fermilab officials said.

All visitors will be able to enter and exit the grounds from Warrenville on the east side of campus using the Batavia Road gate. The entrance is open daily from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., though the public is only allowed access from sunrise to sunset.
