83 Batavia High School Students Named IL State Scholars
The designation indicates "an outstanding accomplishment that will be a highlight of the recipient's academic record," D101 said.
BATAVIA, IL — Eighty-three Batavia High School Class of 2026 students were named Illinois State Scholars due to their outstanding academic performance," the Batavia Public School District 101 said.
"The combination of students' exemplary college entrance examination scores and high school achievement records indicates an exceptionally high potential for success in college," district officials wrote in an announcement Monday.
The Illinois Student Assistance Commission, the state's college access and financial aid agency, has recognized exceptional students for their academic achievement each year since the designation was first introduced in 1958.

Each state scholar will receive a congratulatory letter and a certificate of achievement from ISAC. The designation is a non-monetary award.
