BATAVIA, IL — With the Homecoming Day parade coming up Sept. 11 in Batavia, police are expecting significant traffic delays and temporary road closures.

The route for the parade, kicking off at 5 p.m., will be the same as in 2023, which helped alleviate road closures in downtown Batavia, police said.

Units will begin staging between 4 and 4:45 p.m. at the Batavia High School Wilson Street Lot. The parade will proceed east on West Wilson Street to Lincoln Street, travel south to Main Street, and go west before returning to the high school's Main Street lot.
