The Batavia Art League recently celebrated their one year anniversary. Co-founded by Julia Kim, Sarah Reaves and Ann Alexander, the Batavia Art League welcomes anyone with an interest in creating art, and embrace working in all types of mediums. Past activities have included watercolor, colored pencil and clay tutorial projects, and visiting the Hokusai exhibit at College of DuPage. The members often bring individual projects and supplies to work on during the meeting time. Batavia Art League is a place we teach and learn from each other, not a classroom format.
The group meets weekly on Wednesday mornings, 9:30 to noon at at Paxton Hall in the Congregational Church of Batavia, 21 South Batavia Avenue (across the street from the Batavia Library). Please use the church’s south parking lot and entrance. You do not need to be a member of the church to join. For more information, contact juliakimflowers@yahoo.com.
Regardless of your skill level, whether you are a novice or a seasoned master, the Batavia Art League is a space where artists of all backgrounds can come together and learn, teach and create in the same room.
