Batavia Boardwalk Graduate Opens Store In Wilson Street Mercantile

BATAVIA, IL — A 2024 graduate of the Batavia Boardwalk Shops program has opened a permanent location in the Wilson Street Mercantile.

Seapeak Style, at 222 E. Wilson St., specializes in colorful clothes, accessories and stationery inspired by mountains and the beach and "designed to evoke happiness," according to the Batavia Chamber of Commerce.

According to its website, the store "is for those who live free, searching for wild passion and endless fashion inspiration. We strive to help you invoke creativity, spirit, and eclectic adventures through fashion and personal style."

Owner Grace Schultz celebrated the grand opening of her shop along with Batavia Mayor Jeffery Schielke, Chamber and Batavia MainStreet staff at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Feb. 14.

Wilson Street Mercantile, which houses small boutiques under one roof, is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.
