Batavia Businesses are Best in the West
Magazine honors a range of new and long-time businesses.
West Suburban Living magazine released its 15th Annual Best of the West issue naming numerous Batavia restaurants including longtime favorites such as Charlie Fox’s Pizza, and El Taco Grande to new comers Honey-Jam Café and Smashburger. Independent coffeehouses Four Beans and Limestone Coffee & Tea made the list as well as Salt Creek Barbecue, East China Inn, Pepe’s and Swordfish came in multiple categories.
Batavia businesses and institutions were also featured in the Activities and Entertainment category. Favorites included the Batavia Public Library, Randall 16, Chuck E. Cheese, and Funway Entertainment Center was named in multiple categories.
Other Batavia businesses named included All Dressed Up, Kohl’s and The Holmstad. All in all, Batavia businesses were named in nearly 20 categories.

“While we Batavians know what great businesses we have here in town, it’s always exciting to see that recognition shared with our neighboring communities,” Mayor Jeffery Schielke said. “Batavia is a great place to eat, shop and play and that’s what makes Batavia a great place to live.”
