Batavia Masonic Lodge Awards Scholarships to BHS Students

Every year Batavia Masonic Lodge #404 in Batavia IL awards their Guy P. Vance scholarship. Named after a long time member who was dedicated to learning and believed in helping our community. Each year the lodge awards the winners with up to $2000 to assist in their cost of attending college. The recipients are chosen for their academic career and community involvement. This years recipients were Kristen Hall and Sage Shoaf. Attending Middle Tennessee State University and Illinois State University respectively. Both are great examples of achieving academic success and serving their communities. Each were presented with a check for $1000. A dinner was held at the Lodge on June 24th to celebrate their successes.
