Block Party, Taste Of Batavia: Participating Restaurants Revealed
Tastings from downtown Batavia restaurants, a classic car show and a pie bake-off are on the docket for the annual event.

BATAVIA, IL — The annual Taste of Batavia and Block Party will return in one month to downtown Batavia.
Downtown Batavia restaurants are gearing up to showcase their food and drink options with $3 tastings from 4-9 p.m. Sept. 1 at Peg Bond Center, 151 Island Ave.

- Thai Village Restaurant
- The GOAT Burger and Cocktail Bar
"Block Party and Taste of Batavia is the perfect opportunity to gather with friends and family for an end of summer send-off," Batavia MainStreet Assistant Director Kristen Desler said in a statement.
Other events planned include the annual pie bake-off hosted from 4-4:30 p.m. by the Batavia Mother's Club and the Wayback Wheels Car Show by the Batavia Depot Museum.

"Event goers will enjoy free performances from Batavia Academy of Dance, David Fracarro singing the songs of Elvis, and hits from local cover band ORD Rocks, as well as a family zone brought to you by the Congregational Church of Batavia with [a] bounce house and more," Desler said.
The annual Taste of Batavia and Block Party is set to take place in just one month. Admission is free for kids and $5 for adults. The adult ticket includes a wristband for those 21 and older.
Registration for the car show is $15 per vehicle and includes an entry to Block Party. Any proceeds will support the Batavia Depot Museum.
